What kind of computer or technical skill is needed to be an affiliate?
Affiliates will need to be somewhat familiar with HTML, so that they can correctly copy & paste the linking code and place it within a web page.
Is it necessary for me to refresh the content on Boltblue?
No, the content areas on the content banners and white label site are updated automatically every time a webpage refreshes to display the most popular content.
Once I have registered, how do I install Boltblue content on my website?
Once your application has been approved and you have received the e-mail containing your username and password, go to http://affiliates.boltblue.com and login. In the Affiliate Control Panel there is a menu option on the left called "Content Set Up Wizard". This 5 step Wizard will guide you through the installation process. The Wizard can be run as many times as you like without effecting your configuration. Once you have completed the 5 steps, the Wizard will automatically generate the code you will need to integrate into your own personal website. Just copy and paste the code into your website HTML. This process will require a basic understanding of HTML.
How do I create links?
Login to Boltblue Affiliates and go to "Content Set Up Wizard", and choose a content box and/or the website template. You then need to click on 'Show Code' and copy and paste the code into your site.
How long does it take to put up the link on to my site?
It takes just a few minutes. All you have to do is copy and paste a short amount of HTML code into your web site.
A link is not working, it resolves to a 404 page.
Please make sure you have copied the entire code correctly. If possible create another link. If the problem continues please can you make a copy of the link you are using and paste it into an email message and send to partners@boltblue.com. Please provide as much information as possible.
Once I have updated my website, do I regularly need to change my HTML to update the content items?
No, the content items displayed in the content boxes as well as the white label website are automatically refreshed by the Boltblue Content Management Systems. This means that as soon as Boltblue loads a new content item it instantly becomes available to you and your customers. Together with this, each item is cycled on each page visit so your customers always see a fresh selection of mobile content.
I would like to install my site as unbranded on my already existing domain name. Can this be done? If so, how?
Yes, using the Content Set Up Wizard on the Affiliate Control Panel you can easily do this. When you reach Step 3, the Wizard asks if you would like to display the white label website at a URL of your choosing rather than on the default white label address. If so, then you are required to enter the full URL address. In the final step the Wizard will supply you with the code for the white label website and the the content box. This code should be copied into a blank HTML page that you create at the address you specified.
I have received a request from an end-user who has encountered problems with the download. How should I deal with this problem?
If users of your site have encountered any difficulties whilst downloading content, please send all relevant information to partners@boltblue.com. Requests will be processed as quickly as possible. Users can also mail help@hot-fone.com directly for any issues when purchasing.
Why have my stats not updated?
On some occasions you may notice that your stats have not updated. We assure that whilst your stats have not updated, sales, leads and clicks will always track. You will not lose commission during this period. Reporting delays may occur for the following reasons:
Unscheduled delays
During the periods when Boltblue Affiliates have unplanned delays (perhaps due to server reboots), this will be announced on the affiliate site where the delays are expected to be more than 1-2 hours.
